Board made in France

This electronic board was designed by uPesy Electronics and proudly manufactured in France. Each board is carefully assembled in our French micro-factory, to ensure high quality manufacturing and attention to every detail.

One of the few ESP32 boards fully compatible with a Breadboard

The board has a smaller width than most other ESP32 modules, allowing it to be put on a breadboard and access the pins from 2 sides. No more tricks are needed to solve this problem.

A simple and clear pinout

On most ESP32 boards, many pins are not usable. They are often prone to errors and, therefore, much time wasted trying to determine the cause. There is no ambiguity about the pins here: they are all usable!
A card sheet with the pinouts is offered with the board!
You will see each pin's function very quickly without looking on the computer.

An improved ESP32 board

  • A USB Type-C connector
  • 4MB of built-in external PSRAM (8x more RAM)
  • One pin dedicated for external power supply (VIN)

Q&A

Is the board delivered with a USB cable?

USB-C cable is not included. Any USB cable with a USB-C connector will be ok. However, you must take care to use a cable that allows for the transfer of data.

Is there an IPEX connector on the board?

No, while there is a footprint for an IPEX connector, the board isn’t sold with a soldered connector. Moreover, should you want to use an external antenna in place of the one included on the PCB, you will have to move one of the resistors. You find a detailed procedure within the Wrover’s technical documentation.

Is it possible to program the board on macOS?

The board may be programmed on any OS: Windows, macOS, Linux with any of the usual IDEs: Thonny, Arduino, VS Code …

What is the memory size ?

The ESP32 WROVER model has the most memory: 16MB of flash memory, 512KB of internal RAM and 4MB of external RAM.

Are there any differences between versions 1 and 2?

uPesy is continuously improving its products with new versions. In general, the changes are minor from one version to the other. The board sold is based on the most recent version. To know in detail, the differences from one version to another, you can refer to the changelog in the technical documentation of the board.
